Ready… set… #LIGHTUPTHENIGHT
Lace-up for an illuminating evening mixed with fun, fluro, fitness and good deeds. Neon Run 2014 is here and recruiting now for bright-lights and party-sparks like YOU.
October 11 is set the be the brightest night of Sydney’s spring, with the 5km running course ignited with stunning lighting effects and an army of fluro-faces dashing through the city.
Before the run begins, gather round for neon face painting and on-stage entertainment including dancers and DJ’s. The race has staggered starts so you are free to frolic amongst your fellow contestants before getting down to the serious business of running, jogging, walking or dancing your 5k race.
Six neon (party) zones are set up on-course, where you can hang up your running shoes for a mo’ and strap on your dancing shoes. Party for a bit in the foam, silent disco, rock, house, pop and DISCO zones before getting back on track.
Once you cross the finish line, it’s time to really get warmed up – Enter the PARTY ZONE!!! All that’s left to do is dance the night away in dazzling company of Sydney’s ‘brightest-lights’.
Don’t Forget…
To look beyond the fun, and use the event to help raise money for the fabulous organisation www.beyondblue.org.au, that fights depression and anxiety within our community. When you register create an ‘everydayhero’ page and if you raise more than $200, opt to have your entry fee refunded or donated to beyondblue.
Neon Run’s motto is #LIGHTUPTHENIGHT, so come along and show Sydney how bright you shine.
Entry is $55 pp, or $50 pp for groups of four or more.
