Batch Burger and Espresso
Batch Burger and Espresso is a rockin’ burger joint reminiscent of the 1950’s American Diner. With its stainless-steel-rimmed counter, neon signs and juke-box style back-drop music it is overflowing with retro charm. The red cushioned swivel-stools draw you in to a seat at the counter where you can crunch on crispy pork crackling as you eye off the mouth-watering menu.
The take-away traffic rolls in and out the door as the child in your taste buds is awakened by the exciting tastes of cherry-ripe shakes, mint-fizz refreshers and raspberry floats. Beef, chicken and fish burgers, burritos, flat-top-dogs and salads make up the seemingly endless menu selections – leaving you planning your next visit to Batch before you’ve even placed your food order.
The Californian burger – featuring avocado, jalapeno peppers, white cheese and watercress – comes highly recommended, by Madame, especially when helped down with a side of fries and an icy cold Corona. While Nutella-waffles, chocolate sundaes and banana-splits will hit the sugar-spot, for those who don’t feel complete, without something sweet.
There is a hearty breakfast selection available until mid-day, gluten free options for coeliac diner and a fabulous espresso bar perfect for coffee enthusiasts.
Batch Burger and Espresso was opened by husband and wife team – David and Nok Smith – who own several tasty businesses throughout Sydney including; Batch No. 1 in the CBD and Nok Nok Thai Eating House in Darlinghurst. The couple seem to have a knack for serving up tasty treats amidst a buzzing atmosphere – and their latest offering is a MUST for burger lovers.
