Nothing else matters. Nothing else has ever mattered. Only the desire to be free. The desire to be she.
She longs to abandon the mould that’s encased her spirit from the moment she took her first breath. The flimsy, transparent mould that is curiously so stubborn. Despite the cracks in its brittle shell, she is fully bound in its cocoon.
She wants to move like her body has no bounds. To fly through the night. Wings outspread. Kissed in entirety by the cool, gentle breeze that keeps her afloat. She wants to scream like her lungs have no limit, yet the only sounds she’d make would be a luminous rainbow of every colour.
The emptiness that swirls in her stomach, the tear drops that spill from her eyes, evaporate in the mystery of truth.
Love this!
