1.Getting in
What is Six Degrees?
Six Degrees is a private, invitation-led introduction network for high-intent people. Instead of endless swiping, it uses your real-world graph — mutual connections, verified background and shared context — to produce a small number of introductions that are meant to become an actual date or a seat at a real table.
How do I get in?
Two ways. Someone already inside gives you an invitation code, which routes you to the front of the review queue. Or you apply without a code and take a numbered place on the waitlist, which our team reviews in batches.
How does the waitlist actually work?
When you apply you receive a position number. Applications are reviewed in batches against invitation supply and community balance. Approved applicants get an email with a claim link and a 72-hour window to complete onboarding before the seat returns to the pool.
Why was my application declined?
Most declines are about timing and balance in your city rather than a judgment on you. You are welcome to reapply, and an invitation code from an existing member materially improves your odds.
What verification do you require?
Phone verification is mandatory for every member. Government ID verification through our identity partner is strongly encouraged and unlocks a verified badge; we receive only a pass/fail plus age and country signal, never a copy of your document. LinkedIn or career context is used as social proof during review.
2.Matching and dates
How does matching work?
Each candidate is scored on a weighted compatibility model — roughly 40% career and life stage alignment, 30% stated intent, and 30% mutual connections and proximity — across thirteen trait dimensions. Hard filters (age range, dating preference, dealbreakers, distance) are applied before scoring, so anything you rule out never appears.
What is the 48-hour clock?
When two members match, a 48-hour window opens on the conversation. The intent is simple: propose something real. Sending or accepting a date invitation stops the clock. If nothing happens, the match expires and both profiles enter a 30-day cooldown from each other.
What happens when a match expires?
The thread closes and neither person can re-initiate for 30 days. This is deliberate — it removes dead threads, prevents low-grade persistence, and keeps the feed populated with people who are actually available.
How do I plan a date inside the app?
In Action Chat you can propose a venue from live venue search, lock a time, and the thread posts milestone lines everyone can see — date locked, venue changed, running late. Logistics quick replies appear once a date is locked.
What are Tables?
Tables are curated small-group gatherings — a dinner or a drinks table at a vetted venue with a handful of members selected for fit. You can request a table by neighborhood and time window, or claim a seat at one already being formed.
3.Tables, Radar and privacy
Is Radar tracking my location?
No. Radar is opt-in and has three states: Incognito (invisible), Fuzzy radius (a general area, never a precise pin), and Found at venue (deliberately discoverable at a specific place). Retroactive matching can surface people who were in the same area after everyone has left, which avoids real-time exposure entirely.
Who can see that I liked someone?
Only you, until it is mutual. Likes you receive appear privately in your Likes tab with a blurred preview until you like back and the match opens.
What analytics do I get on my own profile?
Insights shows your impressions, profile views, likes received, match conversion and response rate over time. It is private to you and never shown to other members.
4.Membership and invitations
What does membership cost?
Core is $79/month, Black is $129/month, and Founding is $399/month. Higher tiers add concierge date planning, priority table seating and higher invitation allowances. Checkout includes a 7-day trial where offered.
How do I cancel or change my membership?
Manage billing from your profile screen. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current period and you keep access until then. We do not prorate partial months.
How many invitations do I get?
Your allowance depends on your tier and your standing in the community. Codes are single-use, tied to you, and expire if unclaimed. You can track issued and redeemed codes from your invitations panel.
What is Couples Mode?
When two members decide to make it official, both profiles leave the singles feed together and move to a shared Couples surface with concierge planning for the two of you. Either person can exit, which returns both to standard membership.
5.Safety, account and access
How do I report someone or stop contact?
Every profile and thread has Mute, Unmatch and Block. Blocking is immediate, mutual and permanent unless you reverse it, and it hides both members from each other everywhere in the product. Reports go to our safety team and can result in removal without refund.
Can I delete my account and data?
Yes. Delete your account from your profile screen. Photos, messages and profile data are removed, and contact hashes are purged. Records we are legally required to keep — payment records and safety reports — are retained per our Privacy Policy.
Is there an iOS or Android app?
Six Degrees runs fully in the browser today and is built mobile-first. Native App Store releases are in progress.
