Privacy Policy

Six Degrees is a private, invitation-only network operated by Openoffice Technologies, Inc., a Delaware corporation with its principal place of business in Denton County, Texas. This policy explains what we collect, why we collect it, how long we keep it, and the limited circumstances in which it is disclosed.

1.Who we are

Openoffice Technologies, Inc. ("Six Degrees," "we," "us") is the controller of personal information processed through the Six Degrees application, websites and concierge services (the "Service"). Privacy questions and rights requests go to support@6dgreez.com.

2.Information you give us

  • Account and identity: mobile number, given name, date of birth, pronouns and gender identity, and the invitation code or referral used to enter.
  • Profile content: up to five photographs, background story, career title, industry, education, city, languages, interests and vibe tags.
  • Preference and matching data: dating preferences, age range, intent, dealbreakers, and optional self-declared heritage, ethnicity and religion (provided only if you choose to).
  • Verification signals: professional profile links, invitation-tree provenance and concierge review notes. We do not request payslips, tax filings or bank statements.
  • Communications: messages, date proposals, post-date ratings, reports and support correspondence.
  • Payment records: subscription tier, billing status and transaction identifiers processed by our payment providers. We do not store full card numbers.

3.Contacts and the mutual-connection graph

The mutual-contacts feature exists to add warmth and accountability to introductions. Where you enable it, phone numbers from your address book are normalised and irreversibly hashed on your device using SHA-256 before transmission. We store hashes and match counts, not raw numbers, and we do not use your address book for advertising, resale, contact enrichment or outreach to non-members. You may disable the feature and delete stored hashes at any time from your profile settings.

4.Location and Radar signals

Radar is off by default and opt-in per session. When enabled you choose between incognito, a fuzzed radius, or venue visibility. Precise coordinates are never shown to other members; signals are coarsened, shared only with people you have matched with under the visibility state you selected, and expire automatically within four hours. Muting, unmatching or blocking a member removes you from their discovery surfaces immediately and permanently for blocks.

5.Information collected automatically

  • Device and technical data: device type, operating system, application version, language and time zone.
  • Usage and safety telemetry: sessions, feature interactions, message and date-scheduling events, and signals used to detect fraud, spam, coercion, scraping and automated abuse.
  • Approximate network location derived from IP address, used for regional availability, fraud prevention and legal compliance.

6.How we use information

  • To operate matching, compatibility scoring, Radar, chat, the 48-hour date engine and Couples Mode.
  • To verify eligibility, curate the invitation tree and maintain the standard of the community.
  • To calculate the Vibe Index and enforce reputation, lockout and penalty rules.
  • To detect, investigate and prevent fraud, impersonation, harassment, stalking, solicitation, extortion and other harmful or unlawful conduct.
  • To provide concierge, reservations and member support, and to send service communications.
  • To comply with law, respond to lawful requests, and establish, exercise or defend legal claims.

7.Legal bases (EEA/UK members)

Where applicable law requires a legal basis, we rely on: performance of our contract with you; our legitimate interests in operating a safe, curated network and preventing abuse; your consent for contacts access, location signals and any sensitive information you voluntarily provide (including ethnicity, religion or sexual orientation implied by dating preferences); and compliance with legal obligations. You may withdraw consent at any time without affecting prior processing.

8.How information is shared

  • With other members: only the profile content, badges, mutual-contact counts and signals you have chosen to display, subject to your visibility and safety settings.
  • With service providers under contract: hosting, messaging, identity verification, analytics, payments and reservations partners, permitted to use data only to serve us.
  • With venue and experience partners: the minimum booking details needed to hold a reservation.
  • For safety and legal reasons: to law enforcement, regulators, or other parties where we believe in good faith that disclosure is necessary to prevent imminent harm, investigate abuse, enforce our Terms, or comply with legal process.
  • In a corporate transaction: to a successor entity in a merger, acquisition, financing or asset sale, subject to this policy.

We do not sell personal information and we do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising.

9.Retention

We keep account data while your membership is active and for a limited period afterwards to honour lockouts, resolve disputes, prevent re-registration by removed members, and satisfy legal, tax and safety obligations. Contact hashes are deleted when the feature is disabled. Radar signals expire within four hours. Records relating to safety reports, blocks and removals may be retained on a de-identified or restricted basis for as long as necessary to protect members.

10.Security and your responsibilities

We use encryption in transit, access controls, hashing of contact identifiers and internal review procedures. No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee the conduct of other members. You are responsible for the information you choose to publish, for keeping your device and number secure, and for exercising judgement before disclosing your home address, workplace, financial details or travel plans to anyone on the Service. Never send money to another member.

11.Your choices and rights

  • Access, correct, export or delete your account and profile content from your profile settings, or by emailing us.
  • Turn contacts matching and Radar on or off at any time, and mute, unmatch or block any member.
  • Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights to portability, restriction, objection, and to appeal a decision; we will not discriminate against you for exercising them.
  • Sign out and erase local device data using the erase option on your profile screen.

Verified requests are answered within the period required by applicable law.

12.Age restriction

The Service is strictly for adults aged 18 or older. We do not knowingly collect information from minors and will terminate any account found to belong to one. Report suspected underage accounts to support@6dgreez.com.

13.International transfers

We are based in the United States and may process information in the United States and other countries whose laws differ from yours. Where required, transfers are made under appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses.

14.Changes

We may update this policy. Material changes will be notified in-app or by message to your registered number or email. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
